Calliarts - Zoomorphics with Cathy Sayer

Dear Members and Followers,



Uncial work is filled with birds and animals that fill letters and gaps between paragraphs. These animal and bird patterns are known as zoomorphics, this afternoon will be spent creating major letters with these zoomorphics.



Coloured pencils, gouache traditionally red, dark green, dark blue, black and a gold only if you have it), lead pencils, eraser, tracing paper, ruler, fine brushes (0 and below) plus one larger about 2, ruler, black fineliner 0.5 and red fine liner, a couple of water jars, mixing palette, paper towelling. Paper must support water, so water colour paper, Canson, etc. If you wish to add some calligraphy to your letter than a simple Zig calligraphy marker is good, calligraphy cartridge pen or pen and ink.
If you want to 21st century your colours go for it.
